3D Rover Replica
This activity is a hands-on paper craft where participants get to create a paper model of our very own education rover T.E.A.C.H.U.R.! They will decorate it with markers and use glue and tape for assembly. This activity is fun ,educational, and exciting for ages 8 and up, and includes a talk on some of the important jobs rovers do for exploration.
Solar System Pinup
This activity is a fun game where participants get to try to pin the planets on a pretend Solar System. Closest pinner to their orbit wins a prize! This activity is mildly educational, yet very fun and exciting for all ages.
Cosmic Cupcakes
This is a tasty hands on cupcake decorating activity that is sure to make all the kids happy. The children will each decorate their own cupcake using pre-colored marshmallow fondant using cookie cutters. Cupcakes are filled with your choice of buttercream prior to delivery
Crater Canvas
This activity is a hands-on craft where participants get to create a personal model of our moon’s surface! They will decorate a foam board with fondant , making craters and mountains. This activity is fun ,educational, and exciting for ages 8 and up, and includes a talk on some of the important roles the moon plays in our lives. *once dry, the craft will be suitable for display.
Galactic Gack
This activity is a messy hands-on mixing project that creates a “Gack” that glows under the black lights. Participants get to take their own baggie of Galactic Gack home with them. This activity is educational and very fun as we will have a discussion about polymers .
Balloon Rocket Blast
This activity is an experiment where participants try to capture gases that are formed by a chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar, in a balloon. The balloons quickly expand, and eventually fly off for a hoot of a time. This activity is educational, for all ages, and comes with a small science talk on chemical reactions and operational science.
