Cosmic Activities

 

“Solar Sightings”

This is an educational activity where we will setup outdoors with a telescope equipped with a solar filter and proceed to show  everyone the Sun in a safe manner. This is weather dependent and done during the day. Some of the educational topics covered are Sun Spots, Magnetism, Transits and light wavelength . 

 

“Stargazers Delight”

This is an educational activity where we will setup outdoors with a telescope and proceed to show  everyone the objects within our solar system and beyond. This is weather dependent and done during the evening. Some of the educational topics covered are Planet Formation, The Celestial Sphere, Star formation and Constellations. 

 

“Hands On Astronomy”

This is an educational activity performed in or out doors where we will use props to show the objects in the solar system . Some of the educational topics covered are the Moon Phases, Meteors, Comets & Asteroids, Satellites and Careers in Space. 

 

“Rover Rendezvous “

This is an educational activity performed in or out doors where we will use our very own terrestrial rover T.E.A.C.H.U.R. to show children the science behind rovers and what benefits they offer us.  This Activity will conclude with the birthday boy/girl taking control of T.E.A.C.H.U.R. and executing a mission. 

 

“Alien Makeover”

This is a fun activity performed in or out doors where we give all the children an alien makeover face painting session. This Activity will conclude with a group photo. * Photos will be emailed within 3days after the party. This is a great companion activity for “Planet Paparazzi”. 

 

“Planet Paparazzi”

This is a fun activity performed in or out doors where we take pictures of each of the children on a green screen and incorporate them into a space related action photo. * Photos will be emailed within 3days after the party. This is a great companion activity for “Alien Makeover”. 

 

“Cosmic Classes”

 Cosmic classes are 1.5 hour classes geared towards larger audiences inclusive of schools community and cultural centers.  These classes offer lecture  and hands on workshops where applicable.  Topics include Intro to the Solar System,  Solar and Lunar Eclipses, Comets and the outer solar system, How to make space craft. More classes are available all the time or one can be tailored for your purposes.  Pricing is $350.00 for up to 25 attendees, >25 $500.00 .  Additional time is billed on half hour increments @ $50.00
